Under the influence of his father artist Xuan Li, Li Li started to learn painting at the age of six. In elementary and junior high school she participated in various art activities in and won various honours. In 1996, she enrolled in the Fine Arts Department of Shanxi Normal University to study art education. In 2000, she studied in the Fine Arts Department of Shanxi University and achieved excellency. After graduation, she took a job with Shanxi Taiyuan Tourism College and participated in the establishment of the Department of Fine Arts, where subjects such as aesthetics, sketching, and applied art were taught. She immigrated to Canada in 2011 and actively participated in local art activities.
从小在父亲的影响下，耳闻目染，六岁开始习画。小学初中在校参加各种美术活动获得各种荣誉。1996年大学考入山西师范大学美术系，学习美术教育。2000年在山西大学美术系进修，取得优异成绩，毕业创作作为留校作品第二名。毕业后就业与山西太原旅游学院，参加组建美术系，所带科目有，美学、素描，色彩，实用美术等。在校执教期间带领学生办美术展，各种晚会、展会的设计与布置。2011年移民加拿大，积极参与当地艺术活动推广中国艺术文化。
