Toface began ten years ago as a painting diary, a way to manage my anxiety and depression. In 2015, I transitioned to ceramic sculpture, and Toface evolved into a series of sculptures, paintings, and woven pieces. Over the years, it has become a reflection of my personal growth. This work also speaks to the quiet resilience of women, who bear immense responsibilities and pressures at every stage of life. Toface explores the balance between vulnerability and strength, embodying the journey of finding inner peace under the weight of societal and personal expectations. I hope Toface inspires others to reflect on mental health, recognize the often invisible burdens women carry, and draw strength and healing from the process.

This is the basic idea of utopia—the ultimate dream of humanity, a perfect world. But maybe, there’s a darker side to it. In a place where there’s nothing left to strive for, where all challenges are erased, the soul might lose its fire. Could it be that utopia, for all its perfection, is where the human spirit quietly fades away? We’re at a pivotal moment when it comes to population. What does having children offer us now? In a culture that feels empty, in a world where entertainment has become the ultimate pursuit, what role does childbearing play?
