Shi Chan – Artist Biography
Shichan, born in 1960, originally named Shen Jianlin, styled Shouwu, and known by the pseudonyms Master of Bomeizhai and Master of Maihuamaihua Tang, is a distinguished painter. He graduated from Tongji University. Currently, he serves as a painter at the Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy Academy, a member of the Haimo Painting Society of the Shanghai Artists Association, a member of the Shanghai Poetry Association, the president of the Dianshan Lake Painting Academy in Shanghai, and the president of the Qingpu Painting and Calligraphy Academy.
Shichan’s flower-and-bird paintings embody the spirit of Bada Shanren and Xu Gu. His calligraphy and landscape paintings exhibit impressive skill. Remarkably, he excels in both painting and calligraphy, and his poetry and prose have a unique flavor. He pays great attention to structure and transformation in his works, which not only carry a sense of antiquity but also exude a fresh, modern aura. His paintings capture the charm of the Jiangnan water towns and the freshness of modern urban life. His artistic techniques and styles are constantly evolving, but the beautiful memories of his childhood spent in a fishing village—such as fish in the river, insects in the fields, wildflowers by the walls, and poultry among the fences—remain his favorite subjects, always conveying a pastoral poetic ease and romance.

石禅 – 艺术家简介
石禅，1960年生，原名沈涧霖，字瘦梧，号钵梅斋主，卖画买花堂主人、嚼白堂主人。毕业于同济大学。现为上海书画院画师、上海美术家协会海墨画社社员、上海诗词协会会员、上海淀山湖画院院长、青浦书画院院长。
石禅的花鸟有八大、虚谷之精神，书法与山水笔力不俗，难能可贵的是书画俱佳，诗文也有些味道。作者还十分注意结构与变形，因此作品除了古意，还洋溢着一股清新的现代气息。他的画有江南水乡的灵气，又有现代都市的清新。艺术手段和风格常变常新，但童年渔家生活所见河里的鱼儿，田里的虫儿，墙角的野花，栅栏间的家禽……这些他脑海里永久美好的记忆，总是笔下的最爱，无不透出田园诗意般的闲适和浪漫。
