Statement: Make Oneself at Home is a photography series that documents provisional and precarious assemblages of objects involved in my essential daily routines between 2020 and 2023. After a significant downsizing for a simpler life style in 2018, I became more mindful of every item I own and every purchase I make. I believe the objects with which we choose to around have an impact on us on multiple levels. The long hours spent at home during the pandemic made me realize which objects and activities are essential for my mental and physical wellness. By manipulating and placing these mundane objects in a way that they would not normally behave in real life, it imagines how one's daily routines could look like in a confined space where time travels freely.

《请⾃便》摄影系列记录了我将我2020⾄2023年间某些⽇常⽣活必需品摆放成怪诞且岌岌可危的模样的瞬间。在2018年，我对⾃⼰的⽣活物品和居所进⾏了⼀次⼤规模的缩减，此后我对每⼀件拥有的物品和每⼀笔购买的意义都变得更加有觉知。让⾃⼰处于何种物品构成的环境中似乎对我们的⾃我认知有着多种层⾯的影响。特别是那些长时间处于⾃⼰构筑的空间中的⽇⼦，让我更清楚地认识到哪些物品和活动对⾃⼰的精神和⾝体健康⾄关重要。在这个系列中这些平平⽆奇的物品被操弄和摆放后，以异于寻常的组合和⽅式呈现，是⼀种对封闭空间中时间⾃由流动下⽇常⽣活的想象。
