Andy graduated from the Ceramics Department at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and is an interdisciplinary artist focused on exploring the complex relationships between individuals and the world. Her diverse mediums include ceramics, yarn, and painting, drawing inspiration from emotional experiences in life, particularly the responsibilities and pressures women face at different stages. “TOFACE” series, represents a continuous exploration of “the many facets of humanity” and “the multiple possibilities in life.” It also embodies her personal journey of self-redemption, rising step by step from the depths of emotional darkness. It reflects the process of “putting on” and “taking off” the emotional garments we wear. These once-restrictive emotional garments become looser, more comfortable, and even lead to inner freedom. Her paintings are not just personal expressions; they serve as a bridge between her and those who have experienced similar emotions. Each face tells a story, and every painting represents a journey of the heart. She hopes these works resonate deeply with viewers, evoking emotional connections and encouraging them to face their inner world with a more peaceful mindset.
